Who is Darren Waller?

Darren Charles Waller was born on September 13, 1992, in Landover, Maryland. He was a quiet, shy child, and he started playing football at the age of five. Darren also produces hip-hop music during his spare time.

Achievements:

He played for Georgia Tech in his college days and was also chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Waller is one of the top three tight ends in the NFL. He is a 6-foot-6, 255-pound, and is known for his opposing defenses. He’s a tenacious blocker who can take on 1-on-1 assignments in pass pro.

Career:

Darren played in six games in 2015. In 2016, he was suspended for the season’s first four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He played in 12 games in 2016 but totalled only 103 yards over the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

After going through challenging situations in his life, NFL reinstated Waller in 2018. In October 2019, Waller signed a three-year, $27 million contract extension with Raiders.

In Week Two of the 20-20 season, held against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. He had 12 receptions for 103 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in the 34–24 victory.

After the 2019 season, Waller founded -The Darren Waller Foundation to equip youth and overcome drug addiction and alcohol. It supports the youth and their families during the recovery and treatment journey.
