Tamil Nadu chased down the target comfortably in 18 overs and with seven wickets in hand. Hari Nishant was the top scorer for the team with 35 off 38 balls.

But the damage was done early in the match for Tamil Nadu by Manimaran Siddharth who ended with bowling figures of 4 for 20 in four overs. He was also adjudged as the man of the match.
