CES 2021: Mercedes-Benz flaunts electric car with a 56-inch curved screen

As approximately 1,800 exhibitors waited for their slot to stun the consumers with technology and invention, Mercedes-Benz – one of the oldest at the CES 2021– announced cinematic experience in its new electric car. Samsung’s Neo QLED series TV was also one of the first to be unveiled at the show.

The show, usually held in packed Las Vegas ballrooms took a virtual turn due to the pandemic with an upwards of 175,000 attendees watching streamed video presentations from companies, such as Hisense, LG, Samsung and Sony. However, president Gary Shapiro has mentioned earlier that the first all-digital show would be showcasing the latest trends and innovation in artificial intelligence, 5G, digital health, smart cities, vehicle tech and beyond.

Mercedes-Benz made big noise in the event when it said that the electric vehicle has a system that adapts completely to its user and even suggests personalised suggestions. The OLED screen, which is over 56-inches, stretches across the entire width of the car, the light of the Hyperscreen working according to AI capabilities.

Another launch was of the Samsung Neo QLED series TVs equipped with Mini-LED technology. The company said that the new Samsung TVs will offer better contrast levels and deeper blacks with more precise light controls. Samsung’s 2021 TV lineup also includes the QN900A 8K TV and the QN90A 4K TV.

HP followed the list by launching Envy 14, Elite Folio 2-in-1 tablet, and Elite Wireless Earbuds. It’s new range of laptops fully aimed at fulfilling the needs of a work from home lifestyle. The HP Elite DragonFly G2, a 2-in-1 business notebook that weighs less than 1 kg. The HP Elite Folio, the HP Envy 14 and the HP EliteBook 840 G8 Aero were some other launches.

AMD, Nvidia, Razer, Sony, and Microsoft will be holding press events in the next two day of the event–  January 12 to January 13.
