Jesus Christ is now verified on Twitter

A Twitter handle called @jesus was verified after CEO Elon Musk‘s $8 a month for blue tick plan went live, and the person in charge of the account naturally decided to pay up and get verified. The account was never verified but has 7,82,000 followers and the account doesn’t follow anyone. 

The handle generally tweets funny things that Jesus Christ might have said in the modern day and has a sizable fan base.

“Who has two thumbs and has been verified?” After receiving the blue tick on November 9, the account tweeted.

After Musk said a few days ago that “any handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended,” the account even tweeted “this is a parody.”

Now that “Christ” has been verified, news reports have begun to pour in, and the handle has responded to one of them.

For example, a verified parody account of former US President George W Bush claims that he misses “killing Iraqis,” and a verified but parody account of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair agrees.
