According to preliminary information, the US Coast Guard rescued both crew members. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate,” the FAA said, according to CNBC.
Initial reports suggested that the plane was a Boeing 737 MAX. The plane model was cleared to fly by regulators after a 20-month grounding. In 2019, two Boeing 737 MAX crashes killed 346 people. However, it was later reported by CNBC that the aircraft was not a 737 MAX.
The FAA told CNBC that the Transair Flight 810 made the emergency landing around 2:30 PM local time on Friday.
