Former President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign has raised a whopping $7.1 million, after he surrendered at Fulton County Jail, Georgia on August 24.
According to Politico, Trump raised $4.18 million on Friday alone, the day after he surrendered – which broke the record for the highest collection for a 24-hour period of his campaign to date. Immediately after he was booked in Georgia, which also involved getting mug shot and fingerprinted, Trump’s campaign began selling coffee mugs, shirts, posters, bumper stickers and beverage coolers featuring his scowling mugshot. The merchandize bore the tagline “NEVER SURRENDER!” and can be bought are priced between $12 and $34.

On Friday, prominent Trump supporter Laura Loomer wrote: “I just ordered 6 Donald Trump mug shot shirts. I ordered 2 in multiple styles and colors so that I can wear the same shirt every day of the week. I also just bought 5 Donald Trump Mug Shot coffee mugs and two packs of bumper stickers from President Trump’s website! Happy to send Donald Trump $452 tonight to send a message to those who are attacking him.”
The campaign website is also making the most of Trump’s recent booking photo, when the landing page included the mug shot and asked supporters to “make a contribution to evict Crooked Joe Biden from the White House and SAVE AMERICA during this dark chapter in our nation’s history.”

The campaign has also been frequently reaching out to online donors with emails and text messages. On Thursday night, Trump also sent out his first tweet in more than two years – since being reinstated on the platform after Elon Muck’s takeover – directing supporters to his website. The tweet was sent out as Trump was flying back from Atlanta to Bedminster, New Jersey.
Trump’s campaign told politico that it has raised nearly $20 million in the last three weeks, which is more than half of what Trump raised during his first seven months in the 2024 race.
