Police in Holland, Michigan are searching for a black male believed to be the suspect in a fatal shooting Friday morning. Authorities urged residents to remain in the shelter as an investigation into the incident was underway.
The Holland Department of Public Safety arrived at an apartment on Abbey Court near Stratford Way for a shooting where officers found one person dead with gunshot wounds. The name of the victim has not been released.
Authorities said they have launched a manhunt for a Black male, 5 foot 8 inches, wearing a dark-colored hoodie and bike sweatpants or joggers. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Police also said that the shooter was known by the victim, leading to conclude that there was a motive behind the shooting incident.
