Former Vice President Mike Pence suspended his presidential campaign for the 2024 US elections on Saturday.

In a speech, he said, “It’s become clear to me it’s not my time,” Pence said during a speech at the Republican Jewish Coalition Conference. “I’ve decided to suspend my campaign for president effective today. To the American people, I say: this is not my time, but it is still your time.”

Pence made a poignant message in which he said that his commitment to his family and country had given him great thought before making his choice. He declared that he would continue to support the Republican Party and its nominees.
Although Pence’s campaign halt represents a setback for his political career, it also highlights his pragmatism and willingness to make difficult decisions. Even in the absence of a bid, his continued appeal to Republicans makes him a possible player in the 2024 election.

Several X users reacted to the shocking decision from Pence. One user wrote, “Mike Pence is an incredible statesman whose legacy will only get stronger with time. He made the right decision today—but I hope he will continue to stay involved + engaged. Our party—and country—could sure use it.”

While several people trolled him for his move. One user wrote, “Sellout Mike Pence calls it a campaign. Hard to run for president when you have no constituency behind you and have betrayed everybody lol”
