Milford Mills shooting: Baltimore County Police investigating gunshot sound

Baltimore residents were left shocked when another shooting incident took place in Milford Mill on Friday, September 2, 2022, which resulted in an unspecified number of wounded.
The Baltimore County Police are currently investigating the incident, after receiving a report of a person being wounded in the area. According to the county police authorities, they received a report of a gunshot wound victim on the night of September 2 in Milford Mill and responded immediately.

They were called to Washington Avenue at Liberty Road in Milford Mill sometime around 9:25 pm local time. The report described an ‘unconscious gunshot sound”, the police said.
Following the Milford Mill shooting, police presence in the neighbouring area increased as the traffic in the surrounding areas became troubled.
Earlier this year, a 35-year-old man was also injured in a shooting incident in Milford Mill on July 9, which was also a Friday. The incident took place around 9:40 pm the night. Following reports of gunshots on that night, responding officers found the victim at 3500 the block of Langrehr Road.
Gun violence in the United States has been on the rise for some time and Baltimore is no exception to it. Hours before the Milford Mills shooting incident on September 2, a student was lethally injured after being shot in the head at a High School parking lot.
The parking lot shooting incident was a result of a heated argument at 3 pm on Friday, September 2, in the parking lot of Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, Baltimore Police said.

The authorities arrested a suspect in connection with the parking lot shooting soon after, however, the circumstances under which the shooting took place are not completely clear.
Baltimore also witnessed a mass shooting recently, when one died and six others became injured in a drive-by shooting on August 25. The incident happened on Park Heights Avenue at Shirley Avenue, less than 1000 feet away from a city public school.
