- His 200-yard receiving performance was the eighth in team history
Davante Adams caught 11 passes for a career-high 206 yards and a
touchdown in the Green Bay Packers‘ 25-22 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on
Sunday.
Adams’ effort was his first career 200-yard receiving game.
Last year against the Houston Texans, he established a new career-best of 196
yards.

He dominated the first half, scoring on a five-yard fade
after making gains on crossing and seam passes.
By halftime, Adams had six catches for 117 yards
and a touchdown. In the second half, he hauled in a 59-yard pass from
quarterback Aaron Rodgers and made further significant contributions in the
fourth quarter and overtime.
“Yeah, I told at least three people outside the building,
talking to family, one of my cousins, talking to my wife, I told her this was
going to be my career-high this game, so, either I’m clairvoyant or I know what
I’m talking about,” Adams said after the game.

Any throw over 16 yards or any rush over 12 yards is
considered an “explosive” play by the Packers. Adams had six
“explosive” plays on Sunday, including catches of 59 yards, 34 yards,
24 yards, 22 yards, 20 yards, and 17 yards.
Adams spoke on his connection to Aaron Rodgers. The 28-year-old
said “It was good”
“Obviously we had a pretty productive day.”
Adams has 42 receptions for 579 yards and two touchdowns in
five games. Over the course of a 17-game schedule, he’s on pace for 142
receptions, 1,968 yards, and seven touchdowns.
“There’s a reason he’s got that 99 rating in Madden. He’s
a baller,” Coach Matt LaFleur stated.

Adams’ 200-yard receiving performance was the eighth in
team history and the first since Jordy Nelson threw for 214 yards against the
New York Jets in 2014. He joins Nelson, Javon Walker, Don Beebe, James Lofton,
Carroll Dale, and Billy Howton as the seventh player overall in team history to
have a game with 200 or more receiving yards.
