The United States Department of Defense verified the credibility of documented proof of Unidentified Ariel Phenomenon (UAPs) or commonly known as Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), taken in the form of pictures and videos by the US Naval forces that are under “ongoing examinations”, according to US media reports.

Pentagon spokesperson Sue Gough acknowledged and identified three separate photos which were labeled as “metallic blimp”, “sphere” and “acorn” shaped depending on their appearances in the pictures. A member of the US Navy had documented the sightings, reported CNN.

The Unidentified Ariel Phenomenon Task Force, a separate wing of the Pentagon, created to investigate such sightings had included the pictures in their investigations.

The US Naval forces, in 2019, addressed their concerns around unidentified and unauthorised aircraft violating the military-controlled airspace of the United States in recent years.

A year later, the Pentagon released three back-to-back videos of “unidentified aerial phenomena” and validated the authenticity of the claims made by the US Navy.

Gough, while being hesitant about revealing more information about the sightings said, “As we have said before, to maintain operations security and to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries, DOD does not discuss publicly the details of either the observations or the examinations of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace, including those incursions initially designated as UAP”, reported CNN.
