Rapper Joseph Afroman running for 2024 US presidential elections: Looking at realistic possibilities

Rapper Joseph Afroman, 48, announced his ambitions to campaign for the White House while onstage at a concert in December and has now submitted the paperwork required to run for our nation’s highest elected position in the 2024 election with the Federal Elections Commission.
‘Can I make the biggest announcement I ever made in my life? I’m running for president in 20-20-fro! We gonna get legal weed everywhere,’ Afroman told the crowd in Missouri.

Afroman rose to fame in 2000 with the release of his breakout hit Because I Got High, which was nominated for a Grammy and features some truly iconic lyrics.
Before moving into the White House, Afroman must settle legal matters with police officers who stormed his residence and sued him for using their image in their music video.
According to TMZ, Afroman is running as an independent and has formally named his presidential committee “Joseph Afroman Foreman for President.”
Afroman followed up his promises last year with an Instagram post outlining his “eight main priorities” for the presidential campaign.

His priorities were – the decriminlization of cannabis, criminal justice reform, law enforcement reform, immediate halt of all foreign aid, reparations for African Americans, the promotion of unity, peace and love, promote celebratory displays in professional sports and legalize prostitution.
We need a candidate that is truly elected by the people, and for the people. We need a man that can step up and lead with a firm hand. The people are starved for a Commander in Chief, that leads from a place of love and not hate. In these dark times, we need a leader that truly embodies the American dream,’ Afroman campaigning manager stated as per Metro .

Afroman will face tough competition from former president Donald Trump and rapper Kanye West, both of whom have previously declared their intentions to run for office in 2024.
