Rapper Joyner Lucas accused marketing strategist Karen Civil, known for her work with Nicki Minaj and previously Meek Mill, of allegedly stealing $60,000 from him that he gave her in 2015 for consultant work related to his career.
The singer took to social media to level those allegations.

“My son was on the way and you stole 60k from me before I got in the game @KarenCivil. I hired you as a consultant and below attached was the memo you sent me. I was desperate for help and you knew that. After you were paid you went ghost and didn’t expect me to pop. Here I am,” Lucas wrote.
Civil responded to the allegations by denying any wrongdoing. She said that the singer does not understand the backend dealings of the business and numerous subcontractors from other PR agencies were paid through the money Lucas was talking about.
“It is easy to make broad statements,” Civil said, noting that both she and Lucas had direct conversations with Charlamagne when he passed on the number. She said that despite all that, Lucas still took to social media to accuse her of stealing.
