Ford has shut down all operations and evacuated the facility. Additionally, the night shift’s output has been suspended. The 69 Highway road in front of the Ford facility has been blocked off.

The caller identified himself as an unhappy employee. He mentioned a name that does not belong to a real paint department employee. He did mention his boss, and it was the right name.

“Our Special Tactics and Response Team is entering the plant to find the source of the threat. It is possible this is a swatting call, but we will treat the threat as real until we can prove otherwise. Our negotiators are on scene, as well, and have been unable to make contact”, Boyd said.

Nick Sloan from KMBC said: “Regarding the possible threat at the Ford Assembly plant in Claycomo, nothing has changed. No confirmed gunshots. No reported injuries. No sightings of anyone with a gun.”
