Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal urged users on Tuesday to “vote carefully” in Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk’s edit button requirement poll. The billionaire has previously conducted multiple Twitter polls, but this time Agarwal stated that the “consequences of this poll will be important” now that Musk is the largest stakeholder in the social media company.

“Do you want an edit button?” wrote the Tesla CEO on Twitter, with options “yse” and “on”.

Agarwal, repeating Musk’s sentence from a few days ago, said, “The consequences of this poll will be important. Please vote carefully.”

Musk had previously conducted a Twitter poll in which he asked people if they feel the microblogging site strictly adhered to the principle of free speech.

He then asked people to vote “carefully” since the “consequences of this poll will be important.” An overwhelming 70% of respondents voted “No,” and the obvious “consequence” was Musk purchasing a 9.2% stake in Twitter Inc.

On April 1, Twitter put out a message from its official account, saying it was working on the long-awaited “edit” feature. When asked if the tweet was a joke, the company had then said, “We cannot confirm or deny but we may edit our statement later.”

Musk has more than 80 million followers on Twitter. Last month, the Space X founder had said that he was giving “serious thought” to building a new social media platform.
