Elon Musk’s
SpaceX’s SN10 variant of the Starship rocket exploded on Wednesday after carrying
out a seemingly successful flight and landing. As per SpaceX, the cause behind
the explosion was another blunder involving the prototype Starship rocket.

The explosion which comes after two prior fiery crashes (also involving prototype failure). Starship SN10 spacecraft touched down successfully after a high-altitude test flight on Wednesday, which marks a major milestone for the company but the vehicle failed to hold itself together and exploded about eight minutes after the landing

The Starship SN10 variant, one of the benchmark projects taken up by SpaceX, has been designed to be a self-sustaining aircraft once it has left orbit. The space exploration company, owned by Elon Musk hopes to pave its way for Mars through this rocket.

Here’s a video from the live flight testing of the Starship rocket.

As seen in video, the rocket appeared to have landed ad settled properly on ground after its flight during the third attempt, although flames were coming out at the bottom and crews were trying to put them out.

However, a few minutes later the rocket exploded. It was thrown into the air and crashed back to the ground.

SN10, the latest prototype, which is the third prototype to explode for the Starship craft, took off a little before 1120 GMT from Boca Chica, Texas.
