Canadian rapper and R&B artist Drake on Monday was officially
given Billboard’s Artist of the Decade award, and during his acceptance speech,
brought up his three-year-old son Adonis to the stage.

The musician, who was present on stage with his crew, celebrated
several of his awards throughout the 2010’s, including best performing artist
on the Billboard Hot 100 songs, Billboard 200 albums chart and several others.

In a Twitter video posted by the BBMA’s, Drake is seen
taking centre stage with Adonis, his son, with the latter clutching on to him.

“You know the truth is I’m really bad at taking complements.
I’m really self-conscious about my music, and even if I do a good job, I always
wonder how I could have done it better. I rarely celebrate anything”, the
rapper said.

“…I didn’t write a grandiose speech about how to make
it work or what it took, ’cause to be honest, I don’t quite understand it
myself.

I have spent an incalculable amount of hours trying to analyse
all the things I did wrong, but tonight, for once, I’m sure as hell we did
something right”, the rapper is further seen saying.

Drake went on to thank his collaborators, his peers, as well
as family and friends while finishing off his speech.

“… And to you, I want to dedicate this award to you”, Drake
is seen picking up Adonis and bringing him closer to the mic, as the toddler started weeping at the moment.
