The images display a peculiar black handgun with a protruding knife affixed to its barrel.

“The suspect produced what was later discovered to be a replica handgun and pointed the item at the victim,” the LAPD said in a press release.

“Hollywood Bowl uniformed security officers, who witnessed the incident, engaged the suspect and removed him from the victim and took him into custody,” the police added.

The LAPD further revealed that the replica “also contained a knife blade was recovered and later processed as evidence.”

Jed Simon, a witness who was sitting in the third row when the attack took place, told CNN- “Some guy in front of us just climbed up on the stage. I was like ‘what the f*** is happening? He came right from the audience.”

“Next thing I know he lunges at Dave and tackles him to the ground pretty aggressively. I was like what is going on?” Simon said.

Lee, who sustained injuries after the incident, was booked in jail for felony assault on $30,000 bail, according to the police.
