Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander have pled guilty to stealing the diary of Ashley Biden, US President Joe Biden’s daughter. 

“Harris and Kurlander stole personal property from an immediate family member of a candidate for national political office”, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York said in a statement, adding, “They sold the property to an organization in New York for $40,000 and even returned to take more of the victim’s property when asked to do so. Harris and Kurlander sought to profit from their theft of another person’s personal property, and they now stand convicted of a federal felony as a result.” 

Who is Aimee Harris?

Harris, 40, is from Palm Beach. She once dated a friend of Ashley Biden and was let into their home because Harris was going through a divorce, in financial trouble, and facing eviction, as per The New York Times.

As per court records, Harris – born in  June 1982 – was sued by a landlord in Palm Beach County. Aimee Leanne Harris was also involved in a paternity case and other small claims cases, apart from yet another eviction issue.

Who is Robert Kurlander? 

Kurlander, 58, is from Jupiter and has several Twitter posts praising former president Donald Trump. He’s also linked to numerous LLCs in Florida and had previously pled guilty to federal money laundering in 1994, as per the Times. The investigation put David Witter, grandson of famed Dean Witter, in the crosshairs.

An Associated Press story from the time noted, “The grandson of investment guru Dean Witter offered to launder $10 million for undercover agents who were posing as drug dealers, a prosecutor said”, adding, “The investigation began last April after Robert Kurlander, a broker at Witter’s business, offered to launder money for a sheriff’s informant posing as a drug smuggler, authorities said.”
