The three victims of the Trabuco Canyon shooting have all had their names made public.

Glen Sprowl Jr., 53, of Stanton, Tonya Clark, 49, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and John Leehey, 67, of Irvine were all declared dead at the scene of the shooting at the Cook’s Corner pub in Orange County.

Following confirmation of their identities and notification of next of kin, the names were made public by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Division on Friday afternoon.

Sheriff’s deputies who arrived on the scene shot and killed the shooter, retired police sergeant John Snowling.

Six other persons were shot by Snowling, including his estranged wife Marie.

Marie Snowling and a female friend named Tonya Clark were having dinner at Cook’s Corner that evening. Investigators said that after shooting his estranged wife, John Snowling turned his attention to Clark and struck her once. A man who challenged the shooter in the parking area outside the bar became a second casualty.

At Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, a prayer vigil will be conducted on Friday at 7 o’clock for the affected families.

Two of the six injured victims were first classified at Mission Viejo’s Providence Mission Hospital as being in a critical condition. The hospital would not release names but did share the following information, which was accurate as of early Friday afternoon:

An adult male who was shot in the chest and an adult female who was stabilised and sent to UCI Medical Centre in Orange are both in critical condition.

Four patients, all male adults, are doing well. Since then, three have been released. One is healing after having surgery for an arm wound caused by a gunshot. Minor wounds were present on the others.

Authorities on Thursday identified the shooter as a 59-year-old retired sergeant with the Ventura Police Department who is thought to have targeted his wife among the patrons at the pub. Band members at the pub stated they were only a few feet away from the shooter. She was hurt, but she made it through the shooting.

The Johnsons characterised the shooter as deliberate and composed. In the altercation, two members of the cover band suffered injuries.

“If he’d have turned to his left 90 degrees, we were at point-blank,” band member Mark Johnson said. “I see our bass player who sprinted out the back door. I go check on him. He says, ‘Yeah, I’ve been hit.'”

They were unaware of the shooter’s whereabouts at the time. Mark Johnson and others attempted to lock the doors once they realised the shooter had left the bar.

At that point, they noticed the shooter outside. At a news conference on Thursday, the sheriff’s office revealed that the shooter left the building and entered a truck, where he was armed with a 12-gauge shotgun and a third handgun.

As of Thursday morning, two patients remained in critical condition. Six people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, including two band members.
