William Whitworth, who identifies as “Lilly”, has been taken into custody for allegedly planning multiple school shootings in Colorado.

According to arrest papers, Whitworth’s sister called 911 on March 31 and said that the former “threatened to shoot up a school” at least twice. The caller also said that Whitworth had anger issues.

A deputy responded to the 13900 block of Double Tree Ranch Circle in the Unincorporated Town of Elbert and noticed “trash piled up all around the house to where it made it hard to walk inside.”

The officer also reported “numerous containers filled with half-eaten food with mold growing inside and numerous alcoholic beverage containers laying around the house.”

The deputy then found Whitworth sleeping in her room and noticed two holes in the wall that appeared to be punch marks.

While interrogated, Whitworth said she had been planning a school shooting for “a month or two,” and was “about a third of the way from doing it.”

She went on to say that Timberview Middle School was the “main target.” She also wanted to target churches. When asked why she was targeting the particular school, she said, “No specific reason.”

A part of the suspect’s plan included understanding the layout of the school and writing a manifesto.

Whitworth revealed that her manifesto was four pages with “schizophrenic rants.” It also had mentions of mass killers and serial killers.

A search was conducted and the manifesto was found. It contained the names of individuals to be killed and their casualty versus injury rate. The manifesto also had names of Prairie Hills Elementary and Pine Creek High School.

On April 6, she was formally charged with two counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief, Menacing and Interference with Staff, Faculty, or Students of Educational Institutions.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5 at 2:30 pm and her bond is set at $75,000.
