A six-year-old boy was reportedly killed after central and southern parts of Israel experienced a flurry of rockets fired by Islamist militia Hamas on Wednesday, according to the rescue workers present at the scene.

The 130 hostile projectiles were fired by Hamas in retaliation to the previously conducted air raid by the Israeli forces, which resulted in the destruction of Gaza’s Sharouk tower, where the Al-Aqsa television channel office was located.

Israeli medical services organisation United Hatzalah said in a statement, “A six-year-old boy was killed when a rocket fired from Gaza struck a residential building in Sderot”, reported AFP.
