Armageddon crossover first look reveals The Flash facing DC villain Despero

The first official promotion photos of the DC and Arrowverse “Armageddon” villain, Despero, have been revealed.
The new photos give The Flash fans their first look at Tony Curran in the role of Despero.

Despero is at the heart of The Flash’s five-part “Armageddon” crossover event in Season 8.
The DC villain is shown as a pretty human-looking guy in the newly released photographs which had the fans wondering if Despero even looks like his comic-counterpart in the images.
Addressing those concerns, showrunner Eric Wallac cautioned against assuming The Flash’s Despero won’t be comic-accurate in terms of his appearance, based on these photos.
“Be careful what you see. Your eyes can sometimes deceive you,” Wallace told EW.

The crossover tradition began in the Arrowverse back in the 2014-2015 season with the “Flash Vs. Arrow ” event.
Ever since there have been other crossovers spanning over Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and Black Lightning.
Armageddon premieres on November 16 to kick off the 8th season of The Flash.

As a character, The Flash is “The Fastest Man Alive” in the DC Extended Universe who has mysterious powers that give him incredible velocity.
In the DC Extended Universe, three men called Jay Garrick, Barry Allen and Wally West have held the title of “The Fastest Man Alive” so far, with each of them redefining the word hero in their own way.
The source of the Flash’s powers is Speed Force, an energy field that grants him incredible powers of velocity.
