Cleveland firefighters rescue dog from East 145th Street and Kinsman fire: Watch

A fire broke out after an explosion at a building in Cleveland’s east side at E. 145 and Kinsman, on Tuesday. The building, which was an auto shop called Will’s Tire Shop, collapsed as the fire raged, prompting a response from first responders. Around 50 firefighters are currently at the scene to deal with the fallout.
Although no death or injury has been reported yet, firefighters are still looking for probable victims. The fire also managed to reach other houses in the neighbourhood, increasing the damage caused. In the midst of the commotion, the Cleveland firefighters managed to rescue a neighbourhood dog and hand it over to its owner. The department has also posted a video of the incident on Twitter. The Cleveland fire department has been posting regular updates about the incident, and reported that a secondary explosion at the scene had “caused the airbags on Battalion 5’s vehicle to deploy”, but that no first responder was injured in the process.
Propane tanks have been identified as the items that were blowing up, but what caused them to explode has not been figured out yet.
The owner of the building where the fire started has reportedly been in contact with the firefighters since the explosion. His shop was open for business on Tuesday morning when the incident occurred.

This is not the only fire that took place in Cleveland on Tuesday. In another such incident on the city’s west side, at Grayton Road, an elderly man was killed. The cause of the fire in this case has also remained unidentified as of now. The Red Cross was assisting first responders in rescuing victims from the scene.
