iOS update: All about Apples iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8

Apple’s iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and watchOS 8 are all set to launch. The latest operating software versions will be accompanied by new features. Here’s a roundup of all eligible devices and top features rolling out soon today.
Apple iOS 15
The latest iPhone 13 series will come with iOS 15. Furthermore, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 11, iPhone XS, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s series will all have the update. Also, 2016 and 2018 variants of iPhone SE will also be eligible for the latest OS. As for the features, Portrait mode on FaceTime will only be available in newer iPhones with A12 bionic chipset or later.

iPadOS 15
iPadOS 15 will come to iPad Pro 12.9-inch, iPad Pro 11-inch versions, iPad Pro 10.5-inch and iPad Pro 9.7-inch. It will also be made available in the standard iPad (5th generation and above), iPad mini 4, 5th and 6th generation.
watchOS 8
Apple Watch Series 3 and above will continue to be supported by the watchOS update. iPhone 6s or later will be eligible to use watchOS 8, provided they are with iOS 15 or later.
What’s new in iOS 15?
Apple iOS 15 will support spatial audio, SharePlay, Portrait mode, a new Grid mode and voice isolation mode on Facetime. Furthermore, non-Apple users will be able to access Facetime by using shareable links to Facetime calls. Good news for Android and Windows-based devices.

Another new privacy feature will let users know which app has accessed location, photos, camera, microphone, contacts in the last seven days. It will also display “which apps have contacted other domains and how recently they have contacted them,” according to Apple.
