Los Angeles Rams’s running back Cam Akers did not play in the first quarter of the team’s season opener against Buffalo Bills on Thursday night, September 8. He only had 3 carries for the whole game as Bills beat the Rams in a very one-sided affair with a 31-10 score.

The Buffalo Bills came to the Sofi Stadium to go up against 2022 Super Bowl Champions, Los Angeles Rams. The match was eagerly awaited by fans as well as fantasy football team managers who drafted selected players such as Josh Allen, Stephon Diggs, Aaron Donald, and Cooper Kupp to their fantasy teams.

Cam Akers is a highly touted running back player in fantasy football this season. He had a Yahoo ADP of 45 coming into the season. Instead of Akers, fellow RB Darrell Henderson played the whole opening drive of the game.

Akers received his first carry of the match in the second quarter but rushed for zero yards at the point. By the end of the first half, Henderson led Akers by a huge margin, 18-3 in no of snaps received, which should be a cause of concern for the fantasy managers. Akers did not receive any further snaps by QB Matthew Stafford in the entire match.

The Bills had seven sacks against the Rams which were the most the team has allowed ever since Sean Mcvay has been the head coach of the team. The rams could not score a single point in the entire second half of the match.

This breaks an 89-game streak for the team of scoring at least a single point in any half of an NFL game.

Rams’s QB Matthew Stafford did not have a good game either as the player ended the game with just one touchdown to go with three interceptions and passed for 240 yards.
