The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers, 40-33, on Sunday Night at the Lincoln Financial Field to move 10-1 for the 2022 NFL season.

The Eagles dominated the running game, outrushing their opponents, 360 to 106 yards. As the game ended it did not matter if the team passed for fewer yards than the Packers, as they won the game comfortably in the end.

Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers entered the game with a broken thumb, but opted to play. Prior to the SNF tie, the 2021 NFL MVP had thrown seven interceptions, equalling his 2016 season tally with six games remaining. But he walked past that stat, ending the night with two more turnovers to reach the nine interceptions mark, the most since 2011.

The Eagles and Packers combined for 47 points in the first half, the most in an NFL game this season.

Let’s look at the highlights from the Week 12 game:

1) Total dominance from Philly

Even though the final score looked close, it was a dominant performance from the home side as they outscored the Packers rushing the football by 246 yards. They scored five TDs to Packers’ four while also scoring 10 points from FG to their rival’s nine points.

2) Aaron Rodgers out, Jordan Love in

After throwing just 16 passes, two touchdowns and two interceptions up until the fourth quarter, backup QB Jordan Love entered the game for the first time in over a month, entering in the fourth quarter. The 24-year-old finished the night by successfully passing six of his nine passes for 113 yards for a touchdown.

3) MVP award under Jalen Hurts’ grip

Today’s performance might have clinched the Most Valuable Award of the season for Philly’s Jalen Hurts. He was exceptional on the night as he outrushed the entire Green Bay offense by himself, 157-106. These were the most running yards for his three-year-long career. With a league-leading record for his team, it is up to Hurts to lose the award now.
