Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcome baby girl

Actor Alia Bhatt has given birth to a baby girl on Sunday afternoon at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai. The actor was taken to the hospital at 7:30 am on Sunday morning according to reports.

Earlier, on October 5, Alia Bhatt’s baby shower was held at the couple’s home in Vastu, Bandra. The ceremony was attended by the family members of the two actors as well as a few Bollywood celebrities. 

In June 2022, the newly married couple announced that they are preparing to welcome their first child, just two months after they were married on April 14. Bhatt posted a picture on Instagram in which she is seen undergoing sonography while Kapoor is by her side watching.

It was reported that Alia’s husband Ranbir Kapoor was with her as she was taken to the Reliance hospital on Sunday. He has also cancelled all his appointments in the next few days to step into the journey of parenthood with Bhatt.
