The producers confirmed yesterday on Twitter that the official teaser would premiere on Good Morning America on November 2. They also uploaded a film poster tweeting- “Tomorrow the wait ends. New trailer for #AvatarTheWayOfWater debuts on @GMA .”

The first teaser trailer for this film was released on May 9. It featured images of Pandora’s beautiful blue seas as well as new whale-like creatures that live beneath the sea.

The film opens by telling the narrative of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children), the peril that follows them, the lengths they take to keep each other safe, the fights they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure, according to the official synopsis.

The film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet and was directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau.

Lang, whose character Colonel Quaritch was killed in the first movie, is back this time as a Na’vi.

With the first Avatar film, James Cameron introduced moviegoers to the world of Pandora and the Na’vi people in 2009.

The film became a box office phenomenon, becoming the highest-grossing film ever filmed because to its innovative CGI and usage of 3D. Cameron took his time designing Avatar 2 and the franchise’s future, opting to wait until technology could capture what he desired. This is because the tale of the sequel significantly incorporates water as the planet of Pandora grows beyond Jake Sully and Neytiri.

The Avatar 2 teaser also contains genuine emotion as it teases the tale, with Jake Sully and Neytiri sharing a special interaction at the end. The film is set to release on December 16.
