Taylor Hawkins was lured out of his Paraguay hotel room days before his death to meet a 9-year-old street drummer who was pounding away on his songs.

According to Nexstar, Emma Sofa and her father Julius Peralta got tickets to watch the band at the Asunciónico music festival on March 22, but the concert was cancelled due to extreme rainfall.

The fans were subsequently informed that the Foo Fighters were staying at the Sheraton Asuncion hotel.

“We took her drum kit and went,” Peralta reportedly said.

As Sofa pounded the skins as hordes of fans sang along to the band’s song “The Pretender” and Nirvana’s “In Bloom,” viral singalongs of the band’s “The Pretender” and “In Bloom” occurred.

Hawkins eventually left the hotel to hunt for the brilliant and persistent young percussionist after the impromptu jam session.

“Dreams come true,” Peralta captioned the photo on Twitter.

Hundreds of people cheered for the happy duo as the cheerful late drummer posed for a now-viral photo with his stunning fan.

“Since my daughter found out that the Foo Fighters were coming, she started a campaign to meet them,” he wrote in Spanish. “Today we took her drums to play in front of the Sheraton and look who came out at her call.”

Hawkins, 50, was discovered dead in a Columbia hotel room three days later, allegedly with a narcotics stash.

Emma’s parents did not immediately inform her of her father’s unexpected death, claiming online that they wished to spare her “a lot of anguish” before her first performance on Friday night.

They “didn’t have the courage to break the magic of that unforgettable moment,” her father wrote. He concluded the message with the words “There goes our hero RIP Taylor Hawkins,” a reference to the Foo’s famous single “My Hero.”

The cause of Hawkins’ death is still being investigated.
