Ganesh Chaturthi 2021: Here is how Bollywood is celebrating Ganpati

Ganesh Chaturthi 2021 is here and the festival is celebrated with great zeal and fervour throughout India. And just like every year, our B-town celebrities have also begun their Ganpati celebrations with a bang. From Shilpa Shetty to Amitabh Bachchan to Ajay Devgn, our favourite Bollywood stars are celebrating Vinayak Chaturthi in their own way.

As we mark the first day of the 11-day Ganesh Chathurthi festivities on Friday, here’s a look at Bollywood and television stars’ Ganpati celebration.

Shilpa Shetty

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty brings home Ganpati idol every year ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi. On Wednesday, the Hungama 2 actor began the festivities as she brought home the Ganpati idol home from a Mumbai-based workshop.

The actor donned a floral silk Kurti and was seen getting Ganpati home alone as her husband Raj Kundra is in jail and sister Shamita Shetty is inside the Bigg House. 

Amitabh Bachchan

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan began his Ganesh chaturthi 2021 festivities by paying a darshan of the famous Lal Bagh Ganpati of Mumbai.

The actor shared the video of his first darshan on Twitter. Just like many B-town celebrities, Big B brings Ganesha idol every year at his home and perform puja and visarjan.

Ajay Devgn and Kajol

Ajay Devgn, who hosts one of the grandest Ganpati Puja in Bollywood began his celebrations this year by sharing a throwback picture of pre-corona Ganesh Chaturthi times.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn’s wife Kajol conveyed wishes in Ganesh Chaturthi by sharing a picture of herself dressed beautifully in traditional saree and gajra.

Sunil Grover

Actor-comedian Sunil Grover also began the Ganpati festivities by attending a Ganesh Aarti. He shared the video on Instagram and wished fans a happy Vinayak Chaturthi.

Isha Kopiker

Actor Isha Kopiker also took to Instagram to wish fans a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. She also shared a picture of herself dressed in a light pink salwar suit before a beautiful idol of Lord Ganesh sitting on the lap of his parents- Lors Shiva and Goddess Pravati.
