Irrfan Khan’s death in 2020, left behind a void in the film industry that is difficult to be filled. The 53-year-old died battling colon infection at a Mumbai hospital on April 29 and soon after his death, condolences started pouring in from Bollywood and Hollywood as he was someone who carved a niche for himself in both the Industries. After his film debut with a small role in ‘Salaam Bombay!’, he gave path-breaking roles in films like ‘Haasil’, ‘Maqbool’. ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘The Namesake’ and ‘The Life of Pi’.
