Loved BTS? Here are some K-pop bands you can add to your playlist

As much as we all love BTS, there are tons of other talented
K-Pop artists that offer just as amazing concepts & choreography through
their music. And as listners, they should also be given a chance. Here are the K-Pop bands you can listen to:

EXO:

In South Korea, EXO is generally
considered the most popular K-pop group, even earning the title “The Nation’s
Pick.” EXO’s Baekhyun sang the National Anthem for the Olympics twice, and EXO
represented South Korea in Pyeongchang Olympics 2018.

The massively successful
K-Pop group, consists of nine members Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Xiumin, Lay,
Chanyeol, Sehun, Kai, and D.O. “Tempo” from their fifth album, “DON’T MESS UP
MY TEMPO”, and “Love Shot” from the album repackage are some of their recent
songs.

Their music style blends funk, dubstep, and R&B, creating the
alluring and ridiculously catchy songs they’re known for.

Seventeen:

The group chose the name simply
because they were all around 17 years of age when they first formed their
group. Seventeen is a massive 13-member group, which is split into three
sub-groups according to their talent contributions: vocalists, dancers, and
rappers. 

The group is known to handle all aspects of their music,
including songwriting, production, choreography, and even the visuals for their
music videos. Some popular songs of the band are “Home,” “Good to Me,” “Don’t
Wanna Cry,” and “Oh My!”

Blackpink:

The band is an all-girl K-Pop group. They have
been breaking many records, including being the most-subscribed music channel
on YouTube and the most-followed female group on Spotify.

The girls continue to
thrive in their success and even collaborated with Lady Gaga for the track
“Sour Candy,” and is something you must listen to if you love Gaga
and K-Pop.

Here are some of their top songs that are worthy enough to add to
your summer playlist: ‘How You Like That’, ‘Don’t Know What to Do’, ‘Kill This Love’, etc.

Monsta X:

Monsta X is a South Korean boy
group formed through the reality survival program No Mercy by Starship
Entertainment. The group is currently composed of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk,
Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. The new album features the popular songs
“Alligator” and “Play It Cool”. The band’s LP reached No. 4 on the World Albums
chart after its release in February.

Pentagon:

Pentagon is a South Korean
multinational boy band formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016. The group consists
of nine members: Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino,
and Wooseok.

Originally composed of ten members, pentagon has been on a roller
coaster of highs and lows, finding both breakout success and frustrating
hardships. Cosmo, Shine, Pretty Pretty, Like this, etc are some of the most
popular songs of the boy band.

Red Velvet:

Red Velvet is often known to have
been promoting the Korean wave and Korean culture across the globe. They were
also named on Forbes to be one of the most influential celebs.

The girls have
3.52 million subscribers on YouTube, and on Instagram have a following of 9.5
million. Red Velvet’s songs have been immensely popular in the current
generation, and are some of the most sought-after artists of South Korea.

“Red
Flavor” is practically Red Velvet’s signature song at this point. After its
2017 release, it’s become one of their best-selling tracks, and it notched
their first No. 1 on Korea’s Gaon Chart. Some other notable songs that can make
it to your playlist are Bad Boy, Kingdom Come, Dumb Dumb, etc.
