Pusha T has disclosed that he resigned from his position as president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label in a new interview with XXL. Pusha T specifically denied being the company’s president when questioned if he still was. He was then asked to clarify that “not tied with G.O.O.D. Music anymore in any way”, to which the rapper confirmed that’s the case.

Pusha referred to Ye’s continued anti-Semitic remarks as “s— is being said today that’s beyond disappointing.” The former Clipse rapper told XXL that he will continue releasing music through both Def Jam and his own label. He collaborated with Ye on his 2022 album, It’s Almost Dry, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Pusha T formally took the position of president back in 2015, but since then, he’s developed a 50/50 partnership with Def Jam for both his solo work and the music released by his label, Heir Wave Music Group. It’s Almost Dry, his most recent album, is now his final with G.O.O.D. Music.

Pusha has previously spoken out against Ye, who in recent months has been using social media and interviews to spew hate speech towards Jewish people. “It’s definitely affected me. It’s been disappointing,” Pusha told the Los Angeles Times in late November. “As a Black man in America, there is no room for bigotry or hate speech. So yeah. It’s been very disappointing.”

“He’s not speaking to me now,” Pusha T said in the XXL interview. “If you ain’t with it, you ain’t down. And I ain’t with it. I’m not budging on that. I’m not with it. I heard about this new stuff [on InfoWars]. I don’t know. It’s something that just sort of tells me he’s not well, at the same time. I will say that. It’s going to places where it’s no way to move around it.”

Pusha said it was “nothing to tap dance around” when asked about West’s participation on far-right podcasts and broadcasts. “It’s untrue. Period. But to me, it’s just another disagreement between me and him,” the rapper added.
