Tim Westwood: All allegations against British DJ
- Tim Westwood, a British DJ is accused of having sex with a woman when she was 14
- Tim was allegedly in his 30's at the time
- The age of consent in England and Wales is 16
Tim Westwood , a British DJ, is facing allegations from a woman who claims they had sex several times beginning when she was 14 years old while he was in his 30s. The age of consent in England and Wales is 16.
The woman is one of several who has come forward as a result of a BBC News and the Guardian investigation, with claims of misconduct and abuse dating from 1990 to 2020.
The accusers described Tim as a “Predator”. She also said -“I sit here today and face what I’ve been running from for a long time.”

The woman who claims she was 14 when the DJ first had sex with her describes herself as a vulnerable teen who wanted to put the experience “in a box and throw away the key.” She says she felt compelled to share her story after hearing the testimony of others.
The DJ, who had been a BBC radio presenter for nearly 20 years, stepped down from his Capital Xtra show in April after several women accused him of sexual misconduct and predatory behaviour. A joint investigation by the Guardian and the BBC revealed the claims.

The allegations were directed at Westwood, who is now 64. He didn’t say anything.
He denied the allegations made by the seven women who were the subject of the original investigation in April.
Westwood’s lawyers stated at the time that he was a well-known and successful DJ. They claimed he denied the serious allegations levelled against him in their entirety, calling them false and defamatory, and stating that he did not behave in the manner described.
Westwood claimed in 2020 that allegations of inappropriate behaviour made against him at the time on social media were made fabricated, false and without foundation.
“I can categorically say that I have never had an inappropriate relationship with anyone under the age of 18,” Tim said in a statement.
Another woman claims that in 2012, when she was 20 and fought the DJ, he allegedly forced her.

Other women claim that as young adults, they had predatory sexual experiences. One of the women who worked for the DJ in 2003 when she was 18 claims that he used his status as her boss and an older guy to have sex with her.
Four other women claim they have had previous unwanted encounters.
For the past 40 years, Westwood has been one of the most well-known names in hip-hop and rap in the UK. In 1994, he started presenting BBC Radio 1’s inaugural rap show, where he invited the biggest rappers in the world, including Public Enemy and Jay-Z, to perform.
