K-pop boy band ASTRO member Moonbin was found dead at his home on Wednesday, reported South Korea’s entertainment news outlet Soompi. He was 25 years old.

According to the report, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station confirmed that Moonbin’s manager found him dead in his house in the Gangnam district of Seoul on April 19 at around 8:10 pm KST. The manager immediately informed the police.

The untimely death of the singer caused shockwaves among K-pop fans. However, when fans learned the meaning behind his last Twitter post, they were feeling even more disturbed as the post conveyed feelings of hope and hurt through a picture.

Moonbin shared a picture of a dandelion on April 11, 2023, on ASTRO’s official Twitter account, showing his excitement upon seeing the flower.

“Roha, they’re dandelion seeds!!! They’re dandelion seeds~ Ride the wind and spread far and wide!” he wrote in the caption.

Fans found that dandelions hold a special meaning important to ASTRO and Moonbin. Dandelions, which are symbolic to ASTROs and the group’s fandom AROHAs, represent the sun, the moon, and the stars in different stages of their cycles.
