Actor Karan Mehra, known for his role as Naitik Singhania in %u2018Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai%u2019,  has been arrested after his wife and actor Nisha Rawal filed a complaint in the Goregaon area last night following a brawl, reports ANI.

According to the Mumbai Police, a case has been registered

There have been rumours that the actor and his wife were facing trouble in their marital life since May and were trying to sort out the differences.

According to multiple news reports, Karan, who has been busy shooting for his upcoming Punjabi project, has not been able to spend enough quality time with Nisha, who is in Mumbai. Their long-distance is touted to be the reason behind their sour relationship off late.

However, in an interview, Karan rubbished the rumours.

%u201CI have no clue what led to these rumours all of a sudden. I saw this news today only and I have been getting calls from everywhere. When Nisha got the news, she had also cleared it. Even after that, I don%u2019t know how these rumours started spreading,%u201D he told Aaj Tak.

Karan was shooting in Punjab for his show %u2018Mawaan Thandiyan Chawan’ and was staying there for too long. This is also the time when he tested positive for COVID-19 and had to return to Mumbai.

They have a four-year-old son Kavish.
