Ericka Genaro, the former nanny of actors Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde, has sued the two for wrongful termination. She is alleging that the former couple fired her after she sought help for depression and anxiety amid their split.
Genaro began working for Wilde and Sudeikis two years before the pair broke up in 2020. The nanny said that their split created a tense environment, affecting her mental health. She filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday. The former couple are the parents of son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6.

Who is Ericka Genaro?
Ericka Genaro is the former nanny of actors Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde. Genaro, who started working for the pair in 2018, filed a complaint against the director of Booksmart, 38, and the former cast member of Saturday Night Live, 47 on February 14 in Los Angeles.
Us Weekly was able to get court records from Genaro’s attorneys in which they claimed that the childcare expert grew increasingly concerned and stressed following Wilde and Sudeikis’ breakup. Following Wilde’s sudden departure from the family in November 2020, Genaro claims that Sudeikis frequently discussed the two of them with her, which made her feel compelled to choose a side. After Wilde left, her nanny responsibilities also multiplied.
To deal with the emotional toll of their circumstance, Sudeikis and Wilde consented to participate in group therapy with Genaro somewhere around January 2021. Genaro’s therapist at the time suggested she see an osteopath, who advised a three-day break from speaking with both Sudeikis and Wilde.
However, Genaro claims that after informing them that she needed to take a three-day medical vacation, Sudeikis insisted on speaking with her and fired her when she refused.
Wilde’s spokesman did not reply to any inquiries from the media, and the representatives for Sudeikis refused to comment on the case.
