Ying Yang Twins’ D-Roc collapses during performance in Springfield

Ying Yang Twins’ D-Roc collapsed onstage while performing at the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, Missouri, on Sunday. About 30 minutes into the performance, the musician crashed to the floor and was carried off stage by security, TMZ reported. 

A video doing the rounds on social media showed the security getting the 43-year-old off the stage. 

His condition was not known and it wasn’t clear if she was taken to the hospital.

The concert was headlined by Vanilla Ice and Ying Yang Twins,   consisting of Kaine and D-Roc, were special guests. The show still went on as scheduled after the incident.

The hip hop duo, who are not actually twin brothers, made their debut in 2000 and rose to mainstream popularity three years later when they collaborated with Britney Spears on her album ‘In the Zone’. They also collaborated with Lil Jon on ‘Get Low’.

They went on to give hit singles like ‘Salt Shaker’, ‘Wait (The Whisper Song)’, ‘Shake’ and ‘Badd’.

In 2012, D-Ro was arrested in Georgia and charged with DUI, drug possession and child endangerment charges. Gwinnett County police stopped him for failing to drive in a single lane. He then admitted to having “a few beers at a friend’s house” and smoking marijuana. He was driving with his young children. The officer also found two alprazolam pills on him, and upon searching the car, he found two grams of marijuana in a grinder.

Two years later, he was arrested in Georgia after allegedly punching his wife in the head. He was charged with family violence.
