One Health has gained popularity in recent times, but has been around for quite a while as a concept. It believes that diseases occur and spread in humans as well as animals in a similar manner. The approach believes in fighting health issues at the levels of humans, animals, and even the environment, including zoonotic issues.  

The CDC has One Health offices all around the world, for better global coordination. Expertise is leveraged so other countries can fight diseases better, while the CDC also aims to educate more people about the benefits of this approach. 

Some of One Health’s projects include understanding how antibiotic resistance works in water and new approaches to Cambodian zoonotic diseases.
