Bollywood mega-star and Kaun Banega Crorepati host Amitabh Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19, he said on Twitter. The veteran star had previously contracted coronavirus in July 2020 along with actor-son Abhishek Bachchan, actor-daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

The 79-year-old actor shared the news in a post on Twitter and urged everyone who came in his contact to get tested immediately.
“I have just tested CoViD + positive.. all those that have been in my vicinity and around me, please get yourself checked and tested also..” Bachchan wrote.

Bachchan is currently hosting popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Fans wished him a speedy recovery.
“Take Care Bachchan Saab (sic),” one wrote while another one said, “Get well soon sir (sic).”
“Sir , You already have COVID antibody available in you,so nothing to worry. Just take precautions and All will be well.Abhi KBC ke aur episode dekhne hain hamein 😊” a third one said.

“Please be safe don’t go in public places take steam regularly with carvol plus capsules take 10 Tulasi leaves daily you will recover soon speedy TakeParacetemol tablets daily Love you Amitabh Bachchan ji.Take 1 inch ginger black pepper powder in 1 glass water boil cool drink,” another one said.
While there is no official word out on what happens to the KBC shoot, the show is likely to be affected with Bachchan’s illness.

On the work front, Bachchan will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva”, also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy, Vikas Bahl’s “Goodbye”, “UUnchai” and “Project K”.
Bachchan contracted the coronavirus in July, 2020. He was hospitalised alongwith son Abhishek for over three weeks and received treatment. Aishwarya and Aaradhya recovered at home.
