Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu says she suffers from Myositis

Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed to her followers on Saturday that she has been diagnosed with Myositis, an auto-immune disease. Prabhu took to Instagram to share a picture of herself sitting on a couch with an IV drip attached to her wrist.

The actress sat with her back to the camera, a microphone in front of her, and watched the Yashodha trailer.

In the caption, Prabhu wrote -“Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at me. A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped.”

“I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery. I love you.. (black heart emoji). THIS TOO SHALL PASS,” she added.

In response to the post, Raj and DK commented, “Welcome back, Sam!!” “Take care, Sam!” said Raashii Khanna. “Get well soon,” Gajraj Rao wrote. “Love and light to you, you are amazing always,” said Shriya Saran.

Prabhu’s next film will be Yashoda, which will be released on November 11. The film also stars Unni Mukundan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

Prabhu will shortly begin production on a film titled Arrangements Of Love with Downton Abbey director Philip John. Yashoda, the trailer for which was published earlier this week, is her next project. According to reports, the actress will also appear in Russo Brothers’ Citadel.

Prabhu was last seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, in which she co-starred with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. She will also appear in Shaakuntalam. She recently offered her first glimpse of the latter. Last year, the actor made her major digital debut with the mega hit online series The Family Man 2.
