Delhi government on Tuesday announced night curfew that'll remain in effect till April 30
Amid a massive surge in the number of COVID-19 cases, the Delhi government on Tuesday imposed a night curfew. It came into immediate effect from 10 pm to 5 am and has been imposed till April 30.

In a night curfew, social gatherings are barred, other than those allowed by the administration. Restaurants, pubs, cinema halls are generally closed during the night curfew. Playgrounds and parks are generally shut and religious places function as per SOPs.
During the night curfew in the national capital, essential services will remain open. Public transport will also remain functional. It’ll not be applicable on doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers, who’ll have to produce an ID card.
As coronavirus cases are surging across India, several states have taken similar measures. Maharashtra, which is witnessing the highest surge in COVID-19 cases, has imposed both night curfew and weekend lockdown.
