The Delhi government on Tuesday imposed a night curfew starting from 10 pm to 5 am with immediate effect till April 30 amid rising COVID-19 cases, reports ANI.

Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Monday said that Delhi was undergoing the fourth wave of COVID-19 but a lockdown was not being considered yet.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to lift the age criteria on COVID-19 vaccination across the country.

“Our government can vaccinate all people in Delhi within three months if rules simplified, permission granted to vaccinate all,” Kejriwal said.

The Delhi government on Monday said that one-third of COVID-19 vaccination centres in all state government hospitals will stay open all day, and operate for 24 hours from Tuesday.

As per the Delhi government health bulletin on Monday, a total of 3,548 fresh cases of COVID-19 infection and 15 deaths were reported within the last 24 hours.
