A one-stop guide for all two-wheelers that will take the market by storm this December

For racing aficionados and bike enthusiasts the month of December promises to be a roller-coaster ride as several key two- wheeler franchises are launching exciting merchandises that leave prospective customers salivating.

Major players Suzuki, Ducati, Hero and Harley Davidson will  launch two wheelers in course of the next month. With every major player trying to carve out a chunk of audience attention, automobile juggernauts are ramping up the market with new models to satisfy customer demands. Here we take a look at all the key launches lined up in the winter month of December.

The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT: The bike will contain a 645 CC engine and will consist of two cylinders. Weighing 216 kgs, the two wheeler will also make 71 PS and 62.3 NM of torque. The bike comes with a seat height of 835mm and will have a fuel tank capacity of 20 litres. It will also be available in two colours of champion yellow and pearl glacier white. The expected price for the two wheeled behemoth has been pegged at Rs 7.66 lakh.

Harley Davidson Road King: With a Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine of 1745 CC this colossus will consist of two engines capable of producing a maximum torque of 150 Nm @3250 rpm. Available in four colours of stone washed white pearl , stiletto red , silver pine spruce , vivid black billiard red, the Road King has been priced at 25.83 lakhs. The company has touted the model as “powerful, smooth-running engine with crisp throttle response and a pure, soul-satisfying rumble.”

Hero Xtreme 200R: A sports model equipped with a 199.6 cc single-cylinder, air cooled engine, the Xtreme 200R is capable of generating a maximum power of 18.4 PS along with a peak torque of 17.1 Nm. Promising a top speed of 112 kmph, the bike with front and rear disk brakes claims to provide a fuel efficiency of 39.9 kmpl. The bike that will be available in five colours of Sports Red, Panther black with force silver, Heavy Grey with orange, black with sports red and techno blue has been priced at Rs 93,400.

Ducati Streetfighter V4: Consisting of a Euro 5 engine, the street fighter can deliver upto 208HP(153 kW) at 13,000 rpm and is capable of a 12.5 Kgm torque.  The company has marketed their model calling it “ a contemporary and technological Ducati naked bike with an aggressive and thrilling design.” The streetfighter’s price however has been pegged at around 18 lakh and will be available for customers in December.

KTM 790 Duke: The naked-parallel-twin motorcycle consists of a 799cc engine that is liquid cooled. With a 63.6 torque and 105hp @ 8,500 rpm power, the bike will be available at a price of 8.63 lakhs. The bike comes equipped with a “tapered aluminium, 760mm wide handlebar” that is adjustable in four positions, it engine being an electric starter.
