#Aadhaar website not working trends on Twitter as the site crashes on PAN linking deadline
- The Aaadhar website (UIDAI) was down on Wednesday
- Wednesday (March 31) was the previous PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline
- The Income Tax website also crashed on Wednesday
The Aadhaar website crash reported on Wednesday on the day of the PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline. The technical failure of government sites on the D-day left Twitter users frustrated as they attempted to do the needful.
The Aadhar website crash came after the Income Tax department of India website on Wednesday stopped responding at around 11 am on Wednesday.

While some users complained about the poor web infrastructure on the government’s part, many urged the Centre to extend the date of PAN-Aadhaar linking.

However, Central Government on Wednesday extended the last date for linking of Aadhaar number with PAN from March 31 2021 to June 30, 2021, in view of the difficulties arising due to the COVID-19 pandemic, announced Income Tax Department of India
