It seems Katrina Kaif is taking on the newlywed role pretty seriously. Katrina recently shared a picture of suji ka halwa, a sweet Indian dish prepared by wives in their initial days of marriage. The practice is called “chaunka chadana” and involves the  bride cooking something (usually sweet) for the first time in her new family.

Katrina captioned it “maine banaya, chaunka chadhana”, along with a smiley emoji. Her beau, Vicky Kaushal posted a picture holding the dish and wrote “Best halwa ever!!!”

Earlier this week, Katrina and her husband Vicky Kaushal landed at the Mumbai private airport terminal.

Katrina was seen sporting the traditional married woman look, with red bangles, vermillion, and a mangalsutra. She wore a light pink ensemble and happily waved at the elated paparazzi.
