The Delhi police on Thursday informed that it has issued a lookout notice (LOC) against the farmer leaders with the help of immigration and their passports will be seized as a part of the process, reported ANI.

The police has also registered a sedition case in connection with the violence at Red Fort during the ‘Kisan Gantantra Parade’ by protesting farmers on Republic Day, the officials said, reported PTI.

A case under section 124A (sedition) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered and the incident is being investigated, said a senior police official.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had named Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu and gangster-turned-activist Lakha Sidhana in an FIR lodged linked to the Red Fort violence.

Nearly 394 cops were injured and 30 police vehicles were damaged during the tractor rally held by farmers. The police said 25 criminal cases have been registered so far and the charges include the attempt to murder charge.

The farmers’ protest, going on for over 60 days on several border points in Delhi, seemingly levelled up the agitation on January 26 as cranes, tractors and trucks entering the national capital broke barricades at Ghazipur, Tikri and Singhu borders.

Deviating from the allotted route on Tuesday, the tractor parade took a violent turn to the Red Fort, where thousands of farmers hoisted a religious flag from its ramparts, a privilege reserved for India’s national flag.
