Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been charged
for his temper-fuelled conduct during his side’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Sunrisers Hyderabad
(SRH) on Wednesday, when he hit a plastic chair with his bat after being
dismissed, AFP reported.

Contributing 33 runs to RCB’s second successive IPL win,
Kohli reportedly had an outburst after falling victim to SRH’s Jason Holder,
kicking an advertising cushion and hitting the chair while on his way back to
the pavilion.

The batsman was charged for going against IPL’s Code of
Conduct relating to ‘abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment
or fixtures and fittings during a match’, as per AFP, but managed to escape
paying a fine.

Unlike Kohli, former India opener and Kolkata Knight Riders skipper
Gautam Gambhir was charged 15% of his match fee in 2016 for conducting himself
in a similar manner.
