Middle-order batsman Jitesh Sharma and pacer Vaibhav Arora will make their IPL debut on Sunday when the Punjab Kings take on the Chennai Super Kings at the Brabourne Stadium on Sunday. English pacer Chris Jordan replaced Tushar Deshpande in the CSK playing 11.
Chennai Super Kings captain Ravindra Jadeja won the toss and chose to bowl first.

“Ha ha ha! We are bowling. We try to keep things simple, we are an experienced team. We back each and every player. One change, Chris Jordan comes in place of Tushar,” Jadeja said at the toss.
Punjab Kings, who have won one and lost one game in the IPL 2022 so far, decided to drop pacer Harpreet Brar and Raj Bawa for the Sunday game. Skipper Mayank Agarwal said that the Mumbai pitch is expected to aid the batsmen.

“Looks like a good surface for batting. So we want to put runs on the board and let that pressure play. Couple of changes. Vaibhav comes in place of Harpreet Brar, Jitesh comes in place of Raj Bawa. Vaibhav can swing the ball both ways, so he is someone who we are excited about. Jitesh can tonk the ball,” Agarwal said at the toss.
PBKS, who had let go of KL Rahul ahead of the season, received a big booster in Kagiso Rabada last game. For them the batting unit looks stronger with Jonny Baistorw being available and Sri Lanka’s Rajapaksa firing. However, only one of the two are expected to make it to the playing 11 and on Sunday it was the latter.
